Phantasy Star Online 2 was once planned for release on Windows PC in North America - and playable at events in 2012 - but that version of the game has been delayed indefinitely. It's not clear whether Sega intends to bring the PS4 version outside of Japan. Next year will also see the addition of a new episode for Phantasy Star Online 2 called Reborn: Episode 4. The Phantasy Star Team has also revealed when the game will go offline for maintenance on. According to a report from 4Gamer, the PS4 release will hit sometime in 2016. Sega has confirmed that the PSO2 PS4 release date has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
